Landtong

etching

2006

Cormorants of Malinhead, a wee land tongue.

This poem has in my opinion a sort of similarity with the battlegrounds of Normandy during centuries and ages. Hidden psychology in a landscape, but if you look carefully it reveals struggle, pain and empathy.

Cormorants in the the tide of history. Strong birds they are, they still fly and sing as cormorants do.
